on Aug 1, 2009If the rate of expansion of the universe is known, its age can be estimated. At the present time, estimates of the age of the universe range between 7 and 20 billion years. Lower estimates in this range seem to conflict with the age of the oldest stars, which are believed to about 16 billion old. |
