Now people don’t have to wait for hours for the supper to cook, they can put it in microwave for five minutes and it comes out ready having the same great taste. Nowadays the most dominant form of the technology in our life is cell phone. Cell phone was invented in 1970’s. Before that in early age letters were used for the communication. But it was the slow way of communication. Then Alexander Graham Bell invented telephone in 1876 to improve the way of communication. And at last finally the cellular phone age started which made the life easier. In the start cell phones were just a simple devices having just numbers. But with time their features got improved and nowadays cell phones have text messaging, accessing the web, taking pictures, using calculators, alarm clocks etc. In fact the cell phones nowadays are multi purpose devices. In past it was just used to make calls but now one can use it for many purposes. Cell phones have both positive and negatives just like any other technology. Looking into the advantages of the cell phone. The most important advantage of the cell phone is that we can take it anywhere with us. And they can be used anywhere anytime without cable and electricity. By using mobiles one can communicate with anyone at anytime. We can also access internet by using mobile. And this is very important feature of cell phone. SMS is the most common mean of communication and it is also cheap as compared to phone calls. Mobile can be used in emergency situations. Like if one comes across some accident, he or she can easily contact the people who may be able to help the person. One can play games and check date and time on mobile. It is a source of conveniences, entertainment and information for a person. Beside these above mentioned advantages there are also disadvantages of cell phone. Research has proved that cell phones emit electro magnetic waves. And these waves are harmful for human health. Excess use of cell phone can cause brain tumor. These waves can also cause cancer. Many accidents cases are reported because of using cell phone while driving or crossing roads. Cell phones also damage the electronic system used by equipment like cars, computers and electronic break system. To sum up we can say that mobile phones have made our life easy but some how it has also negatively affected the life. |
