Vegetables contain number of vitamins and minerals which are beneficial for man health. Potassium, Vitamin C, foliate and Vitamin A which are necessary part of our diet all are found in vegetables. For the long term health of the body and to build immunity for disease and injury these all are required by body on daily basis. Vegetables contain phytonutrient.These nutrients are important for protection against cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, kidney disease and stoke.



Vegetables are rich in fibers which are very essential for the body. All health benefits from vegetables can be obtained from raw and cooked formed. But if vegetables are over cooked they loss their notorious value. One should take variety of vegetables.Diffrent colors of vegetables have different level of minerals and vitamins. Like all green yellow, orange vegetables are rich in calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron; beta-carotene, vitamin B-complex, vitamin-C, vitamin A and vitamin K. They are also rich in antioxidant. Antioxidant helps the body to protect from diseases and cancer. It also helps in boosting the immunity power of the body.



Many vegetables are very low in calories and beneficial for weight loss. For healthy diet one should take 5-7 servings of fresh vegetables daily. One should add variety of vegetables in their diet. Organic farm vegetables should be prefer if one wants to get maximum health benefits. Organic verities are small in size but they all are rich in falavour.Beside that organic vegetables also contains good amount of vitamins and minerals. While buying vegetables one should keep in mind few points. One should always buy small quantities of vegetable. As fresh vegetables are much more beneficial then from the store or freeze vegetables. That vegetable should be buy which is bright in color and feel heavy in hand. Before using vegetables one should wash them properly. Vegetables should be use on time when they are fresh. Certain vegetables are short shelf life they soon loose their freshness. One should keep in mind that the health benefiting properties of vegetables decline with time. Vegetables should be store in plastic bags in order to preserve their nutrition. All types of vegetables should be added in diet in routine because they all are important for good health.
