United Nations is the organizations that works for bringing all the nations of the world together for the peace and development of world and the struggle for the achievement of this aim is based on the principle of justice, human dignity and well being of the people. United Nations came into existence on 24th October 1945 after World War II to replace the League of Nations which was the world conglomerate at that time. This organization was founded to stop the war and provide a platform to the countries for dialogue. United Nations has 192 members. They all meet in the annual General Assembly. Each country has a single vote. The decisions made by the assembly are not binding till they become decision that carry the weight of world governmental opinion. The headquarters of United Nations is in New York. It has its own flag, post office, postage stamp. In Untied Nation 6 Arabic Languages are used. United Nations struggles for developing friendly relation between the nations. It works together with other nations to eliminate poverty and illiteracy from the world. It works for achieving international cooperation in order to resolve the International economic, social, cultural problems. It works for promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and freedom of rights without race, sex, and religion distinction.

United Nations is not an independent organization. It is made up of the independent states. That is why the decisions made by the United Nation depend on the will of its member States. The actions by United Nations like accepting funds or to carry them out also depend on the will of the member states. In matters of peace-keeping and international politics, United Nations requires a difficult and slow, process of agreement of all the members which must also take into account national sovereignty as well as global needs. United nation is divided into administrative bodies which includes; The General Assembly, Security Council, Economic and social council, Secretariat, and International court of Justice. United Nation is financed by the voluntary contribution of its member states.

United Nations all effort is for our comfortable and peaceful life. It is our duty to cooperate with such organization. All nations should respect the United Nation decisions. Then only it will be possible to achieve a goal of peaceful world.
