Question: I wanna remove my wallpaper without damaging the wall. What should I do?

i want to do some repairs but the wall paper is in the way. i have to remove it first.

You can use a commercially available wall paper remover but they are usually expensive and their odor is unpleasant.



What I do is scrap the upper layer of the paper with a scrapping tool and then use a hand held steamer on the lower layer. If you practice with the steamer you can get a whole 12 * 8 wall in under an hour with no damage to the walls. Remember to control the steam to a minimum level otherwise the moisture may damage other things around the house.
