Building an eco friendly hose is all about connecting to nature and utilizing its abundant recourses without polluting your environment. Solar energy is one such resource. I recently discovered a solar powered room hating system that is both eco friendly and costs you nothing to maintain.

Instructions

Step 1: Most solar heaters are designed to be installed at the south facing rooms of your house or apartments. So clear out a certain part of the room where the heater can be installed.

Step 2: Check out with all the solar heating companies and see which design serves perfectly serves your purpose. The simplest design is often the best. These designs only have a simple fan to suck the room temperature into the heating panel.

Step 3: Most Basic solar heaters have the dimensions of 20" x 32" x 3.5". Plan your space keeping these dimensions in mind.

Step 4: Installing a soar heater will reduce your heating costs by more than half. The small fan inside the solar heater is the only part that requires electricity. The operating cost of the fan would be less than $4 a year.

The newer model that has copper heater cells sells for $160. The newer model is 20% more efficient than the basic copper based model.

Most countries are now encouraging passive solar designs for natural heating and cooling under climatic conditions.

Tips and Warnings

  * In places with warmer climates the broad side of the house should face the northern or southern directions to avoid excessive absorption of heat during afternoons.
* Deep over hangings and solar screens can be used to shield glass areas from the direct glare of the sun.
* Avoid skylights or greenrooms in warmer areas as they allow to much heat into the room.
