The Eskimos counts on his fingers. The little finger on the left hand represents the number one. The same finger on the right hand represents six. When the Eskimo has run out of fingers he uses his toes. To say twenty the Eskimos have an expression which means ‘a complete man’ indicating that all the fingers and toes have been used.
