Bill Gate was born on October 28, 1955. Bill Gates was born in a family which had a rich history in business, politics and community service. His father was a successful lawyer. Bill Gates mother was the board member of the first interstate bank. His grandfather was the vice president of the National Bank. Bill gates has two sisters, Khristianne and Libby.

Gate inherited the ambition, intelligence, and competitive spirit from his family. He was very good in maths and science and thus quickly surpassed his peers in these subjects. Realizing his intelligence his parents got him enrolled at the age of 13 in Lake Side School. Lake Side School was a private school and was very famous for its intense academic environment. It was there, that Bill Gates got a chance to his first computer in the form of teletype terminal networked to a remote server. Purchase of the time blocks were required for the use of the Teletype. Bill gates together with his friends use to exploits bugs in the system to spend their free time. When the administrator learned about this they blocked Gates and his friends from that system. This led Gates to developing interest in computer operating system, source codes and languages like BASIC, FORTRAN, LISP and COBOL. Gates together with his friend Allen started searching for a weakness in the existing systems and started writing their own programs. And at the age of 14 for the very first time Bill Gates and Allen create a short-lived program. They earned $20,000 USD from that. Bill Gates was also interested in law so he got enrolled in Harvard College in 1973 for a law degree. But the world was having different plans for this future software industrialist. He spend just two years in Harvard and then he took a leave of absence and got back to work with Allen. They together started writing operating system (OS). That operating system is now considered the prerunner to the personal computers. Two friends formed a partnership which is named as ‘Microsoft”. It gets trademarked in November 1976.

In addition to Bill gates passion for computer he is also interested in Bio technology. He is also share holder in Chiroscience Group of United States. He is the founder of the Corbis Corporation, which is the largest source of visual information in the world. Bill Gates have also made investment in a largest cellular telephone company named Craig McCaw. He has donated more than $800 million to charities. His donation for Gates Library foundation is helping North American libraries to get of new technologies. Main focused areas of the Gates charities are education, public health and non profit, civic and art organization. Gate got married to an employee of Microsoft. Bill Gates has three children now. Gate together with his wife founded the Bill and Melinda Foundation in 2000. This foundation is donating billion for improving global health care, fight against AIDS, improve educational opportunities and to provide scholarship.
